The player feels he has acheived all he can at the club
This is a regen I picked up two seasons ago, now at the very start of 2012 his contract is up at the end of 2013, and this message is displayed in his "personal" screen. He is also labelled "unhappy" at the squad screen.
This guy is worth millions. Time to cash in or will he cheer up? Anyone know a remedy for his mood?
Thanks.

I think eventually these kinds of players will eventually ask for a transfer
However I would still play him if he is a good player and only sell if you think he is past his prime and will lose value
If you qualify for say Champ League football this may be the motivation and challenge he needs

i've been getting the same message from Michael Essien at Chelsea since halfway through my 2nd season....I had won the Premier League title, FA Cup and League Cup in my first season and I won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League in my 2nd season and he's still not happy!

Had this problem with Drogba at Chelsea. had to sell him. But selling a 30 year old for 30 million Euros was not a bad deal, to be honest. I brought Aguero in for the same amount, so all was well. Until Aguero proved to be a worthless sod in my game, lol.

Sir Ew...very interesting. The problem I might have is that I am at Celtic, and it is indeed a giant club that is going to come knocking (Barca are interested). Now a cracking player might be pleased to move back from Man U to Barca, but he might not be pleased (or even sign a contract) to return from Barca to Celtic.
But noted my friend.
Anyone got any ideas for cheering the player up? Basically i'm going to sell him this January if I don't see a change in him, because I don't want to be held to ransom in the transfer window at the start of the year he is leaving.
But Ideally I'd like to hold onto this player.

I have the same thing with a 28year old Ratinho so decided to try and sell him in the January window.
Put him on the transfer list and immediately 4 players became unsettled thinking I should retain his services. So I took him off the list but offered him to clubs (hoping I was being sneaky and they wouldnt notice) and the same players are now unhappy because I should be more patient with my staff??
Seems he is going to be hurting team morale whether he stays or goes <sigh>
Not complaining though, as far as player interaction goes it beats the hell out telling them "for the fans every 3 days" or wondering if I should be pleased or delighted with their form.
