Sacked after doing better than board expected. Ridiculous
I started a game in league two with Bradford. I was offered a two year contrat and was told promotion was expected for the season. In my first season we won the league and the board were all over me like a rash. The following season in division 1, i was told anything other than relegation was to be deemed a success. I missed out on the play offs by 4 points and also had a good cup run. My contract was not re-newed by the board at the end of the season. What an absolute joke!!! What more do they want? I had been playing this game for two weeks and am right back where i started. Completely unrealistic!

Why is this unrealistic?
You haven't been sacked, you just haven't been given a new contract. Perhaps they thought the club was moving forward to quickly under your guidance and felt they would prefer someone who would give more steady progress.
There are cases in real life where managers are sacked despite exceeding board expectations.

Balls. It's completely unrealistic. Maybe at a massive club like Barcleona, you might win trophies and the board is still not happy with your playing style - but Bradford?
In real life they would be praying to him for more. Their finances will have shot up, crowds much bigger - if they get in the Premiership it could financially transform the club. At a club like Bradford you grab at that chance, you don't ask the manager to "slow down". Get a grip.
This problem has been identified by many people playing the game. If you think about the amount of hours people are putting in setting up tactics etc., only for this to happen then it ruins everything. Why take another job if the same thing is going to happen? It's not exactly an incentive is it?

I agree.
Also, the board might believe that you taken the club as far as you can (based on your reputation), & that their stature has risen enough to atract a manager of a higher quality (club reputation)

Maybe the success you brought them made them think they couldn't afford you? Not sure if this is a bug or not but if you upload a saved game I'm sure SI will look at it.

Agree fully.
There's no chance a club like Bradford would let a manager go for being TOO successful.
What a load of old nonsense.
Anybody who makes that claim is a pleb. (whatever that is)

I don't believe any normal club would do this until you start faltering. Especially as he is only in the Championship, there is no requirement for such a reaction. Again, this displays a lack of intelligents in the AI. This should have been focused on a lot more in this game.

Personally I think it's nonsense. Yes, if the club was bought out or there was a major change in the structure of the club you could argue that new men would want a different manager that they could work with. But if you started the game as Bradford then the assumption is that the board believes you are the man for the job. By getting promoted in the first season and easily exceeding expectations in the second season then the club should renenw your contract, unless they can't afford it. Otherwise it does make the game ludicrously hard!
Anyway, SI have confirmed they are looking into a problem where exceeding your expectations isn't recognised so it should be fixed in the patch. It does make the game rather impossible if you can only get a new contract by exactly meeting the board's expectations, there has to be a little bit of leeway.
