I tippled a while ago that rejecting bids for players is not the way to keep them happy - especially if you want to keep said players.....just negociate the price up to something you know the bidding club will refuse....
e.g I didnt want to sell Owen in a Newcastle save where Barca and Chelski kept making bids....so I kept saying to them come back with £60m (which they wouldnt of course) and the player never mentioned the bids once?!
Thought most folk would have worked that out by now?
It was the same on 07 too. This is how I *dealt* with it. Must be one of his hidden stats which causes him to not stay at one club for any length of time.
