In FM20007 I had a Barcelona game for years.

I liked it a lot, won so many prices, was always in the top 2.

But there was one thing that was so weird…

Not one trainer was training youth and all my youth players were following the ‘adult’ training schemes. I had no choice. And yes I had youth with an amateur contract...

Yes my trainers were capable for training the senior and youth squad.

And yes, my youth was still getting better.

However, for getting own youth in the first team I prefer the Italian clubs. Players can play in the youth squad till they are 21, which is a clear advantage.

Is it typical for Spain/Barcelona? Was it a bug? Or did I something wrong?

Is this still happening in FM2008?

If you have no youth coaches then your regular coaches will train yr youth. If you want to have a coach that only trains youth then hire a youth coach, yes?!

I can't put any youth player in the youth training scheme.

Doesn't matter if I have a youth-only trainer or not.

Well Ive never managed in Spain so maybe that's just how it is. Doesnt Isnt Real Madrid's b team named Castilla and it have a b team?
maybe they are treated as different teams?!
Were you asked to choose the players you wanted for the first team?
