That doesn't make any sense. Football is evolving, not declining, I don't think even the greats like Pele and Maradona would've been as effective nowadays than 50 years ago. I like the idea of randomly created regens, but the criteria definitely needs tweaking. Besides increasing the amount of -9 and -10 PA regens, Good Attacking players should have their stats better allocated (Technique, First Touch, Creativity, etc), and the same goes for Defensive Players. Physical stats also need a boost. And finally, TONE DOWN THE EXCESSIVELY HIGH LONG THROW ATTRIBUTES! So many times there's a great looking young striker with decent physical stats, good mental stats, 19 in Long Throws but only 6 Finishing

Yes, I agree. Also natural fitness use to be much higher than any physical treat in my team.

I don't notice the decline as much since I don't use real players from the outset. Plus, I play in the Portuguese League. Viva Bwin Liga!! Viva Academica!!

Whoosh! He was being sarcastic, the scouts report says he is a leading star for any La Liga team, which he blatantly isn't. I'm wondering how the scouts report system works, is it all still purely based on CA? If so then this player probably has a very high CA, but doesn't have the attributes to show for it. Therefore the game sees him as a great player because he has a high CA, but his attributes don't tell the same story. IIRC, this has always been a problem with the new regen system (since the change over from CM style regens), players' attributes are on the majority too low for what you would expect from their CA.

It is from barca assman report, and I think it calculates ability of the player compared to mean ability of players in the league - and league/player standard in 2019 is much lower than it was in the beginning so that player is considered as better than most players in league..which is crazy as la liga is one of worlds leading leagues..

I found some good spanish regens playing in england but very little good stay in spain??
Currently #1 team in spain is the team that has fewest regens and many &gt;30yo non regens

There was a savegame from 2034 posted in the Bugs forum a while back. The Regens in there were mind-blowingly incredible; So much so that it felt somewhat unrealistic. People in this thread should search it out and check it out.

Could it be then that there are too many players with too much potential in the starting database? So the game will never need new ones until they've all retired, or it would unbalance the overall database.
