im in january and ive already had 9 red cards...and numerous players being suspended due to 5 yellow cards...its just overthetop even though tackling is rarely hard

I was wondering why you post several threads, all with caps only in the title?

The original poster was talking about red cards not yellow. I do agree though that the beta patch address the excessive card issue and he should install it or wait a couple of days for the full patch.

Majority of red cards come from two yellows.....I'm not a referee, but I see a link

The only reds I've gotten were from late challenges from behind (aka "a Paul Scholes special") :p

What do you mean. Scholes is a fine tackler. The Refs never just learned to appreciate the finer points of his technique.

To get back on topic. Are you using hard tackling? if so, you need to look at the ref's stats before the match. Some refs give a lot of cards. For those matches you will need to stick with normal tackling. That will work. Just did a season with Kettering Town and had 2 players get sent off in 53 mtches. One straight red and one on 2 yelllows. Another thing I do is switch an individual player back to normal tackling as soon as he picks up a yellow.

I'd say he's gone already, and hardly surprising with a reception like that.
