Hi all i was wondering if someone could give me a little bit of advice.

I am curently Leeds and im on my forth season, I was lucky enough to get into the premier in 2 seasons but i am currently sitting 3rd but my board are rather annoyed that i havent won the championship which is part of there 5 Year plan. can someone please tell me if i will get the boot for not doing it?

Is your board-

A. Pleased with your performance.
B. Satisfied.
C. Disapointed.

This will give you a better indication on whether they sack you or not.

Also look at the fans confidence, are they happy with your performance, signings, etc.

PS. read the other threads on manager sackings, might get more info there.

They seem pleased with the way im proforming in the league and the transfer market but the Bar about the 5 year plan is empty the fans are pleased too.

ahhhh I think the key point here is that he is the Premiership but the board expect him to win the championship

Gazzarocks - Have you patched your game? I think this is a bug corrected in beta patch 2

Somply go on to the closed 'Patch' thread and select page 1 and download the patch. There is no specific link to patch 2. If you have FM08 PC out of the box then the patch download is 27.5mb

However be aware we are expecing the full patch soon

recomend restart game but yes it is supposed to be save game compatable

oh dear, I've just got promoted to the prem after 3 seasons on a 4 year plan to win the champ, I'm starting to get worried, still that explains why the board are only 'satisfied' despite 3 trips to the play-offs on 'mid-table' season expectations.

I'm in the prem with leicester in the 3rd season. I'm using the updated patch and my board confidence still says they expect the team to win the championship in 4 years.

THe green bar is full though.

Remember this is a better patch available now. The full patch available soon which you can also apply on top.

In this scenario it wont 'bugger up' your game but I'm not sure of the effect it will have. In theory at the end of the next season it should recognise you have achieved this, in so far as you got promoted' ahead of the 5 year plan.

So......I think you'll need to check this at the end of your current season

However if you have a saved game prior to the end of your season in the championship you could apply the patch and continue with this save game for which I'm sure at the end of the season you have achieved their target ahead of schedule by winning promotion from championship to the premier

Si generally say its best to apply a patch to a new game but in the vast majority of cases its save game compatible
