18th November was said to be the release date for Genie 08, accoring to http://www.genie.fm/ ( <--- offical website for the FM Genie scout"). The website has been down very often, mabe because of the hundreds or thousands of visitors . The scout has still not be released, but I found a website which seems to have information (not 100% proven!!!) that there in no relese today, but within 2-4 days.



The given information:
As you already know genie.fm is unavailable, and no one knows what will happen with the release of the long awaited program.

We have sneaked into the Ukrainian forums that the Genie appeared today and used some translators to be able to give you exclusively fresh news from him.

Translating what Eugene said:
"Unfortunately, we could not release the new scout as scheduled. There is still a lot of work to be done, and particularly regarding reading the database of the game. The interface is fully updated (see screen shots).

genie scout should be out soon.

as far as cheating is concerned, you could say it is, but its no worse than being a top team and being able to scout the whole world for young talent with top scouts.

it makes the game much easier if you are in the lower leagues and cannot scout outside your country.

its a good way of finding out how good your youth players are.

personally i quite like playing using scout to check things out every now and again

The text on the official genie site was already like that last Saturday.
