I've had quite a few games though were my Derby County team pass the ball around beautifully for 90 minutes, they just forget to trundle ut down the other end of the pitch and plant it in the back of that netty thing once or twice!
My FM06 Derby team were my favourite team I've ever managed in terms of me watching them, but they didn't play anything like such "pure" football as my FM07 version. What they did do though was play an attacking formation, to hell with a holding midfielder or anything other than a back 4 and a goalkeeper to stop us conceding, and went for it for the full 90 minutes.
That same game I was also managing Newcastle - they were nigh on invincible over the course of a season, winning the EPL every season I managed them and numerous other trophies too - if you were an opposing manager they'd be the team you'd feel least confident about getting a result against because they won 3-0 week in week out at a canter, but Derby were the team you'd most fear. Sure you'd have a better chance of beating you, but on their day they would rip teams apart for fun, beating Arsenal 7-0 or winning 3-4 in successive away games, etc.
The only trophy they ever won apart from League 1 was the League cup, whilst Newcastle probably won 12-15 trophies, but I'd take Derby any day if I had to pick just one of them to manage because they played football just for the joy of playing football, like we used to at school - with the attitude that a 4-3 defeat was way better than a stodgy 1-0 win!
