Just out of curiosity is there a difference between the European version of the game and the North American version of the game?

I had WWSM version of 07 and now have FM version of 08. All I noticed is that when you start new game in WWSM it has USA and Mexico as the leagues you might want to get jobs in. Also some Options are preset to USA standards. Like $ instead of pounds or Euros. Its still all changable back.
