When can i re-apply for a work permit for a foreign player in England ?

Sometimes work permits are given to players who have never even played international matches and sometimes work permits are denied for players who are regular first team players for their international squad, bit weird :/

Does the amount of foreign players, in your squad, have an influence on wether a work permit is granted or denied ?

In England

Condition 1:-
Player has played in 75% of his national team's matches in the last two years prior to the date of applying for the work permit.

If this condition is met you get a permit.

Condition 2:-
If a player doesn't meet Condition 1 then he may be granted a conditional work permit if it can be demonstrated that a comparable quality player cannot be obtained who does not require a work permit. As an example see Anderson for Man United.

Those are in my own words but if you want the exact wording it's probably on the web somewhere.

How the game simulates Condition 2 is:-

1. First application usually rejected
2. Appeal granted if player's CA meets a threshold value

From messing around with FM modifier the CA value is 160 in England. In a scout report this is usually 'good to leading Premiership player' but the accuracy of this depends on your scout's ability, the level the player is currently playing at and the extent to which you scout the player.
