Unfortunately you will have to visit the link below and follow the instructions given.
I've already tried all this but still no joy. </BLOCKQUOTE>
Have they replied yet?
If so, what was their response? </BLOCKQUOTE>
No not yet, I sent my email at about 8am. How long do these issues usually take? Any idea?
Also, when I uninstalled the FM2008 this morning, why can't I see it in the recycle bin? I thought it would be held there so I could simply restore it? </BLOCKQUOTE>
I would guess that it is too big a file to store in the recycle bin, so it would be permanently deleted.

Bearing in m ind that it is Sunday, you may have to wait until next week for a response.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how long it is likely to take as I have never had this problem personally.
With regards to uninstalling programs, they aren't kept in the recycle bin, they are completely removed from the system. The recycle bin is used for items that you delete manually from your system so if you accidentally delete something it can be restored. The process of uninstalling something is a final act to remove it completely from your system.

So I'm basically screwed and may as well go back to FM2007?
Until SecureROM (the makers of the copy protection) reply then, unfortunately, yes.
I know a few others on here have had a bit of an issue with the copy protection and SecureROM have helped them so it is worth being patient until they do.

Sorry I couldn't help. </BLOCKQUOTE>
No problem, thanks for trying. Is that what you think it is then, copyright protection?
This link downloads a file which Securerom provided to cure a problem for other users, I don't know if it will cure this particular one but it's worth a try.
I'll try to find the original thread.

Yes. SecureROM is the copy p[rotection used by the game.
The file that Kriss is linking to may work as it was produced to resolve problems similar to this for other people.
If it doesn't resolve your problem, then wait for SecureROM to get back to you and they should provide a solution (or an explanation why it won't work at the very least).
