Default Is it possible for SI to comment?

I just wondered if anyone from SI could possibly comment on the issue of the matchday sound for fm08?
Maybe it has already been addressed but the sound gets worse and worse with every new release. There's so much I like about the game but it really is such a shame to have it let down by a lack of any sort of atmosphere for the games. I know many people don't care too much about the sound in this game and that's fair enough, but for me it's very important. I thought the whole point of brining new versions of games was to improve on them. Older versions of the game (00/01 I think) had fantastic sound with chants and generally loud, exciting match sounds.
It would be interesting to hear SI's side of the story. I'm not a moaner and just want to know their opinion on the sound. Miles Jacobson said they do take constructive posts seriously and strive to make gameplaying as enjoyable as possible. Well I hope somebody could give us the lowdown on the sound issue.

Thaks in advance.

Whilst I agrere that the sound is very poor ingame, it doesnt bother me as I don't use the sound, but I do think they should look at it, because I know a couple of people who play with the sounds, adds to the realism apparently.

Something to be looked at in my opinion.

Just like to add my thoughts on this matter.
Not sure if match day sounds have got worse with each FM release, but they're definately an area I think could be improved.
My ideal wish would be for the "size" of the chanting to be scaled according to match day attendences. So that a small conference league game would have cheers and chants that reflect the 1000 or so people that are there, and not sound like there's 40,000 people chanting for Altrincham in 2008.
I know that FM has different styles of chant for different continental regions (ie. South American, European etc.), and it would require a lot more sampling, but it can definately be done.
It's something me and my friends have wanted for many years now.

Personally I couldn't care less about the sounds, as I'd turn them off and stick on some music no matter how good it was.

But for the purpose of being constructive, it could definitely be improved, as at the moment the sound (or lack of) is utter pants. An that's putting it nicely.

Just out of curiosity, what problems have you noticed with the sounds? I'm wondering whether it's the same thing I've been bothered about. The atmosphere is usually pretty good when the home team is attacking, lots of noise, cheering etc. However, the away team never seems to have any fans at the ground. If they create a chance, or even score, there is simply no noise whatsoever. I find that a bit disappointing as I would like the added realism of proper sound as it helps to really immerse you in the game.

I have to agree with the original poster. SI have striven to improve the game in a lot of different areas, but year on year the sound engine is just the same, infact, it has been very poor over the last couple of releases.

Some people are not bothered about the sound but I am one that does feel it is an important aspect of the game and adds to the atmosphere of the game (Or at least it ought to)

Some effort is needed in this area SI to improve the sound engine.

Should also have added I was one of the few that actually liked the commentary that Clive Tyldesly did in an earlier version of the game!

I'm sure it can be improved, but one of the reasons they cant use proper chants etc is due to licensing issues.

So who owns the rights to songs like "United!!United!!United!!" or "Engarlund,Engarlund,Engarlund" hmmm...No one I'd imagine.

Get in the middle of a crowd and use a tape recorder.....Who is going to start a law suit for that?

Someone must do, otherwise SI wouldn't have a problem adding them to the game.
