A few eeks ago i can't remember which manager said it but one said something like managing a real club is different to playing football manager theres more to it than picking a team and choosing your tactics. and thats what some fans don't realise. I wish i could remember who it was.

No this was last week on Sky he said there is more to being a manager than just picking a team and tactics, players have problems like paying bills and that's what people at home playing Championship Manger (his words) on their computers didn't understand.

I have 2 stories of professional managers using champ. I will ask my friend tomorrow for the more precise details and ofcourse, I'm sure they're nothing more than urban myths, but they are:

A manager of a lower league club was in need of a full back and took a real player on trial at the club on the recommendation of his son who was playing champ and suggested him as a good prospect. The player was later signed on a full time contract. For those that want to repeat this tale in a pub I will get the name of the supposed club and manager tomorrow.
And the other urban myth is that one of Wenger's scouts uses the latest FM's as a rough database for obscure suggestions.
