Default Something to think about as to how others regard the game.

I have a friend who plays FM as much as I do, when we meet up we usually chat as to how his Liverpool are getting on and to how I am doing as The Hammers. Sad but true!!

Saw him the other day and he expressed his dissapointment in this years version of the game. A list of things he wasn't happy with :

1. Players not closing down.
2. Being sacked at Liverpool due to various reasons. (He has never been sacked in previous versions).
3. The inability for him to now bring in players with long term potential due to over the top board and fan demands on his ability in the Transfer Market.
4. A poor match engine with players ignoring his inbstructions
5. Team Talks making no difference.
6. His dislike of the new skin.

The list goes on and on.........

I remarked that there were various problems with the game and that SI were working on a patch to sort these issues out and gave him the address of this website so he could download the beta patch and the new one when it comes out.

Now my point is this. A lot of people, including me, are not happy as to how this game was tested before it was released. We are not happy at the amount of bugs in the game. I personally am still miffed that as West Ham the new "Rich" owners only gave me £6 Million to spend!! but when we put our thoughts forward we are told by others "well don't buy the game if you don't like it!"

However, we seem to forget how many people buy the game and are not aware of the problems being "bugs" because they are either not on the web or are not aware of this website. To those people SI have just brought out an awful game this year.

Now it's all very well that people say "just dont buy the game..." but if we didn't and those like my friend don't bother with next years because this years wasn't up to standard then sales could fall to the extent where the rest of you won't have a game to buy anyway!

SI might have to wake up and realise that their reputation is on the line especially with those "customers" that don't have access to the resources that we do.

You aren't being told that. At least not by the people who matter. SI are doing all they can to fix the situation and althought I am unhappy we don't have the patch yet I can see that they don't want to have to release more than one. Si are making the patch, just wait for it.

I'm sure that before long you'll both be discussing how much better things are after the patch.

Extremely good point Sussex.

I have one friend who would LOVE this game but not spend the time to research forums, patches, whatever and just play it out on the box.

I'm afraid that if I tell him this game exists, he'll end up throwing himself off his roof within a few days.

Maybe, but surely we should be discussing how good the game is straight out of the box!

Seing as this patch will be released quite close to christmas why dont SI wait until christmas next year to release a full version of the game with lots of new features, or bring one out in august when everyone is excited about the new season.

At the moment we are given something just after the season starts and told to put up with it until christmas, why shouldnt evryone be entitled to that out of the box, whether they know of this website or otherwise?
