Just going through my first season with Nottingham Forest and finding it immensely enjoyable. Started with £150,000, but had a big clearout, including £500,000 for Paul Smith, and suddenly I had a nearly a million to spend. Brought in:
GK - Zdravko Zdravkov (free)
FC - Kalle Ljungberg (free)
FC - Miroslav Slepicka (380,000)
DM - Seyfo Soley (free)
FC - Stephen Hindmarch (30,000)
FC - Damon Gray (55,000)
AMR - Simon Whaley (LOAN)
DC - Dennis Boskailo (120,000(?))
MC - Nicandro Breeveld (70,000)
The team had started pretty well. Slepicka and Ljungberg were scoring left right and centre. Unfortunately we were conceding a few. I did have some infuriating 4-4 type games, But in the last few games I've changed my formation to 4-4-1-1 and suddenly they have all clicked into gear. Ljungberg has 23 from 24. Slepicka has 17 from 22. They are both great League one signings. Slepicka will dribble from his own half and score. Ljungberg is clinical, he shoots, he scores!
Anyone else started out as Forest and want to share their experiences?
i went with forest but didnt buy anyone just played around with the tactics climbed to second but the board werent happy that we werent first (think i was about 4 points behind) the confidence was low so i havent gone back to that saved game yet but its near january on that game so i might purchase some of those players
Being a Forest fan I have my own opinions on the players we have signed in the last few years and it bewilders me, so I love to try and address that problem. I am very active in the transfer market, but i have to say a lot of my purchases are with the future in mind.
