i think si does a spot on job with the data base, every year fm is released there is certian players down the years who have been wonderkids and the year after these players seem to move to the bigger clubs in real life.
trying to think of a example but mide is blank at min, has anyone else noticed this like in fm07 there was a mint player at a low club and now he is at a top club
Not since I have been there Doubt we will either though we have a few players that will make it to international level IRL (following the foot steps of McAlister, Boyd, Burley, McCulloch, McFadden etc).

I think he's referring to players that have came trough their system. McDonald was at Southampton before he went to Motherwell.
It’s true that SI or its researchers predicted that youngsters became top players.
It’s also true that SI or its researchers predicted that youngsters became top players and it didn’t happen.
It’s also true that SI or its researchers predicted that youngsters NOT became top players and it they became top material.
The blame isn’t for SI, it’s just life, I’m rather sure that it’s unpredictable. A bunch of chimpanzees would get the same results.
Why?
Having the talent is one thing, but there’s more.
One could have all the talents but no discipline and then he’ll probably fail.
Also teenagers when they grow up, will remark the beautiful females, the pubs, the drinking and smoking. Some will even take drugs. And if they like these stuff too much then bye-bye sports career.
Teenagers still have to develop themselves to become adults and when they are on that road a lot could happen. Good things and bad stuff.
Also (youth) trainers, managers, chairmen, parents, friends and others can all make or break promising careers.
I have reading countless stories of top players who said that when they were very young that a lot of friends had more talent than they had. But he’s the one who reached the top, the others are now working in some factory…
