I've applied for a couple of manager's jobs recently, but I'm a qualified coach, so I don't think it counts. (No, I'm not in the game)

I did, however, apply for the job as manager of Blackburn when I was about 12 citing my (then) CM experience. It was when Roy Hodgson got the job. Frankly, I think they made the wrong choice, but I did get a nice rejection letter from Jack Walker telling me to 'study hard, stay in school, get some coaching qualifications and write back to him when I got them.'

Of course, by the time I actually got my qualifications, he'd sadly passed on. Shame though.

I've since had the letter framed, but I think it's buried in a box in the garage right now.
