A few years back there was a job opening for a fairly decent size club (cant remember which one) in England and over 90% of the aplicants only quoted FM on their CV.

Dont think they were successful though

The hardest job of a rl manager is to "guess" how good a player really is

in FM it is done for you as player attributes are shown in numbers

the portugese chelsea ex ass-man regularly played football manager. i also recall a story in the daily mail about some of the italy players checking out the scotland team on fm shortly before playing them for the first time in the euro champs qualifiers

An old mate of mine back in the UK applied for the vacant managers jobs at Southampton and Notts County. He enclosed his CV listing all his Champ Man / Football Manager achievements.

Both clubs were kind enough to send him letters back saying thank you for expressing an interest in the vacant managers position, however your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.
