can someone shed more light on this for me, cause im not 100% sure how this works??
Get a merchandising feeder club. The create a preseason friendly tour of the country your feeder is in and play against your feeder and other clubs.
Create preseason tours by entering the fixtures menu and selecting create friendly, then change "match" to "tour". </BLOCKQUOTE>
Pretty cool.
Question: Merchandising feeder club? Any different from regular feeding club?

So you can create an extended tour now?
Before when you went on tour you could only choose one team at a time, now you select multiple clubs at a time, what's the limit? I mean how long can you make your tour?
Is this only possible with merchandising feeder clubs?

Yeah, you get the big bucks with them.
AS the name suggests from all the money coming in from merchandise.
(Clubs in big and or wealthy nations make good merchadising clubs.)

Yes.
Regular feeder clubs cost peanuts, and you use it for either first option on the team's players or to loan your players out.
Merchandising clubs cost up to £3 million per year (or equivalent) and exist solely to boost your team's influence in that country. Usually in places like USA, China or Japan - where football in growing in stature, and a large population. No loaning of players or first options.

Surely they have some other raison d'etre than boosting the parent club's influence?
I mean, these feeder clubs are trying to win their own leagues, play good football, make money, etc, no?
From the parent club's perspective, these merchandising feeders primary value is what you described, but lots of people actually support NY Red Bulls, LA Galaxy, Urawa Reds, etc, you know
