the story was broken back in august or early september anyway

They would have had to move fast, and with a Scot in power at UEFA (underneath the frenchie) and FIFA I couldn't see that happening any time quick.

The player, and the FA he is joining must give written submissions BEFORE the players 21st Birthday if he has represented any other Nation at any level

So it was a non-story, which was ill researched. There is no way they would have got it through FIFA in time for his 21st birthday.

So if, you want to carry on believing red tops then go ahead and do so.
