FM08- please help (yes, i have read other peeoples problems)
I have been playing footy manager 08 for a couple of weeks, got charlton in europe after 6 years - indeed my degree is suffering!
however for some unknown reason to me, the game wont load up now, it comes up with an error message: "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. you may not have appropriate permisssions to access the item."
- I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the game several times
- I am the only user on my laptop
HELP!!! thank you very much

If you right click on the FM08 shortcut icon, and go down to properties, what does it say next to Target: ?

you havent moved/renamed your savefile via windows, have you?

moved/renamed my savefile. . i dnt think i have

Ok thats right, go to the general tab, down the bottom are any of the 2 boxes ticked, either Read Only or Hidden?

it has a tick in the "archive" box. there is no unlocking box. .
