Many black French players have French names.

But koloklomp1 makes a valid point - there is nowhere near the level of African/West Indian immigration to Eastern Europe, and even less instance of mixed marriage.

Hell, even marrying someone from the country next door is frowned upon even though they look exactly the same.

its a genetic fact that races find it harder to identify individuals outside their own race

so when a white person says they think black people or chinese people look alike (or vice versa) its not necessarily racism, just an unconscious genetic process at work

I think there is some merit to that. I mean, I'm Chinese, and like all other Chinese people have dark hair and dark eyes. And when was the last time you saw a black guy with blond hair?

There's more variation in terms of hair and eye colour at least amongst white people.

all mine look the same ive 3 guys in my youth with the exact same face and hair.
ive 4 black guys who are all the same and are clones of mancienne.
and ive a chinese guy who looks like alan shearer ( dont ask)

i like the idea of face gen great addition :thup: but needs work...

Thats not the same as having a white person with an african/carribean name though.

There are hundreds of thousands of African /Carribean decendants in europe with european names, Ian Wright for example isnt a name of african or carribean origin funnily enough, nor Ruud Gullit, John Barnes etc etc

You would find far less cases of British or European white people with names of African origin.

I cant comment on Croatia though, as it might be rare to have african descendants in their country, which wouldnt surprise me as they dont seem to be exactly multi-cultural there....

I quite like the facegen feature so far, you get some bizarre looking players sometimes, but overall it adds a bit to the game.

It's just a shame we don't have proper photos for every real player in the game by default.
