i did play two-nil as well, somehow didnt seem as good as the first one. i managed to find one-nil out there somewhere as abandonware, just for some nostalgia | Told you guys there was a 2 nil. But WOW thanks for those screen shots! Do you realize how many memories those brought back! I used to try to hire a good scout and I scouted players every chance I got until I got some good ones and If you played those young studs they became so good! So basically the more u played the young guys the better and better they god, did anyone else do this alot in one nil?
Man those pics are beautiful, good old days

Sure do remember 1 nil.
Also played 1 nil 95, and the international manager Goal. Pretty impressed so ended up getting Greyhound Manager and Good to Firm a horse racing manager.
Were all DOS based but had that addictive feel. They were all a bit too easy after a few seasons but.

My first was Treble Champions (1989), which was entirely text based with adventure game style option commands. I found it rather too hard a game for my age at the time.
After that it was Player Manager (1990), the Kick Off spinoff which I used to be able to score the same goal every game from around 35 yards out by simply pulling the joystick back and then forward quickly as I ran towards goal, lofting the ball over the keeper every time. It was then just a case of buying some great players until I didn't have to bother actually playing games and would still end up winning everything.
Both I played on the Atari STE, which I loved for years, for me the only drawback not owning an Amiga instead was that I couldn't play Sensible World Of Soccer. I can't say I'd heard of 1-0 Soccer Manager before though

BMP was my first (Bundesliga manager) and i didn't had enough ram to make subs . I also got the BMP with English championship , apart from the failed economic model it was very realistic game.

Am I imagining things, or did one-nil have some sort of rudimentary 2D match engine? And top division was a European Super League?
Think I faintly remember it, man i must've been so young then. Scary.

I started on Premier Manager on the Amiga, moving through to Premier manager 3. Thought they were the best thing every, then along came CM1 and I never looked back.
Have owned every version of CM/FM since.
