just wondering guys when u start a new game on fm what do u set your experience to. i normally allways just leave it at automatic but does anyone else change it and if so does it really make any difference?
It does make a difference. If an ex-sunday league footballer took over a top-flight club the fans would have burning effigies of them outside the club.

Yes
If a big name (International footballer, ex-pro footballer) asks the board for more money he's more likely to get it. Also the board is likely more forgiving of a bad run of form.
Automatic is determined by where you start. For example if you must insist with starting with Chelsea/Man Utd/Liverpool etc it would be much higher than starting out with my beloved Bath City. I personally go with ex-sunday league footballer because it is more realistic and more of a challenge.
And by they way you seem to be mis-spelling "you" as "u" please correct this or risk future ridicule.
Automatic actually starts you out as no experience. But if you can stick at top-club and win, then you will gain experience quickly.
The diffence in the game is that it is harder for you to keep your job (no experience = short leash), players morale stays low until you can prove you can consistently win, harder to sign and retain star players.
Experience makes all of these easier initially, but then it is up to you to prove yourself.
Win a league or cup and qualify for Europe and everyone becomes happy with you quick.
