Default Very strange . . . Chelsea paying slave labor?

Has anyone seen a player reject a wage package or refuse a transfer because they like your team?

Playing Newcastle United and Martins scores about 34 goals in season 1. I refuse all requests for anything less than $40M to keep him. Chelsea finally come in and offer $46M and Chairman jumps on it (as would I). BUT, Martin says no after he refuses Chelsea's contract because base wage not high enough? Are you kidding me!!!! Chelsea gone cheap?

It may be that Martins is asking for really high wages, rather than that Chelsea are offering low ones.

I tried to sign a player who didn't think I could offer what he wanted, then he ended up signing a contract for £375 a week, which was my first team's average.

I found that when I wanted to bring in big name stars to my Man Utd squad, they were demanding wages in excess of £120k/week! It may be that these players expect something more from the bigger teams although I haven't really looked that far into it.

Yeah some of the player demands baffle me,Just signed a player on a free transfer he was on 9k a week and I did expect he would want a bit more ended up giving him 65k a week aswell as 5k+ for apperance fee.was a bit of a shock and hope he is worth it time will tell.

In FM2007 Lucas was indispensable for my Sampdoria team then in summer Inter offer me 50M but Lucas refuse transfer because he prefer playing for me rather than sit in the bench at Inter. Never accepted offers for him form that moment

I always offer Ballack and Sheva new contracts but take them down from 120k a week to like 70k.

if you receive a bid that you don't want to lose for a player, like the martins one, as soon as the bid is accepted change there squad status to not needed by the club and they will accept the new club nearly every time.
