According to the board they have but no proof in the transfers!

Eduardo was our biggest buy of the summer for around 8m, you'd assume if we had that kind of money we'd have spend alot more to replace Henry.

i am interested to watch him tonight. hopefully croatia will come to win the game and we can see some decent football played at some pace.

otherwise it will be like most england games, dull. england trying to keep the ball whilst going nowhere and then breaking up the play with fouls when they lose the ball.

we have a fair amount of potential with the players we have, but we limit ourselves with tactics, and there is little movement off the ball. just go out there and express yourselves and entertain. end of.
The total deal was worth 17m over 4 years including clauses. He only stayed 2, the total paid was more around 10m!

Yes, Eduardo... He is great, but he does not play too often... Why is that?
You will se tonight that he is one of the greatest... With perfect positioning and sence for the goal.

Wenger is giving him 6 months to get use to the Premiership, building up his strength, etc.

I agree with you from the glimpses we seen of him so far! He's a true goal scorer!!!

Modric wont come to Arsenal for 30mil, because Arsene would never pay that much for any player.

Arsenal have the money, the reason you dont see it because Arsene has said, he will never pay over the odds for a player.

Even when there is a big figure attached to a Wenger purchase, the majority is generally in clauses that come into play if the player becomes good and performs as expected.

Eduardo and Modric are good friends though I believe, which makes Arsenal the more likely destination imo. And I dont think Roman is prepared to pay stupid money for players any more.... although that may be different now Mourino is gone.

So, when we are talking about croatians, how is Vedran Corluka in Manchester City?

He's doing well considering. He's the top performing defender for city as far as I'm conerned, only one who might be overperforming him is Richards. But not a bad buy at all to be honest.

Sven is a tricky old geezer. And now he's getting another £170m from the thaiwanese to strenghten the squad... This can only mean we're wittnessing the birth of Mancheslel Citly

Kezman was also £7 million (not entirely 15million USD)

So yeah, there ARE players from the Eastern Bloc who are the result of big money transfers.
Do you actually know what "based in country X" actually means ? Mutu and chivu are Romanian players but when Chelsea and Roma/Inter paid those money for them, they were NOT based in Romania. This means they WEREN'T playing in Romania. jeez, you could have read at least the wiki text to actually you provided a link to:
Chelsea paid Parma €22.4 million for Mutu's transfer

Last time I checked, Parma was an Italian club NOT Romanian. And the same goes for Chivu. Mutu left Romania from Dinamo Bucharest for about USD 1.5 mils, while chivu left from U Craiova (my favourite club actually...) for a sum of under USD 1 million. Get it now ? Good!

one down, the Igor Biscan guy, after
