I have WWSM 2008 and downloadednthe beta patch last week and I have version 8.0.1. I understand if I download the official patch it will also come up version 8.0.1. What is this other 6 digit number people refer to? I have not seen it anywhere. How will Iknow if I have downloaded the official patch?

Now...This download wants to store as a zip file in one of my folders. Then what do I do with it? Do I "unzip" it? Exactly what path and folder do I unzip it to?

Any help is appreciated.

I just came in also to ask which version number I should have. I am currentl displaying 114310 and am not sure if that is it. I am continuing with my save game as I always start huge games with a few teams and do not want to start again until it crashes in 20yrs or 09 is out. Havent played in 12 hrs and am keen to play. Anyone let me know or us sry if we have the correct version. Obviously the full patcyh has been installed..ty in adavance

4-2-4...Where do you find this build # that you refer to? I've looked in preferences & do not see it. Also, where do you unzip this file to?

Just unzip it anywhere and run the exe file ... it'll then update all of the relevant files.

Sorry long. All I did is open the file and installed on request. Just wanted to see if version number is correct in my previous save game. Anyone confirm please?

I think it tells you the version and build number on the game status paage Long ... but i'm not 100% sure, can't remember (and currently at work)
