Just wondering if there is a limit of forign players allowed when they are signed under a youngster contract??

I'm currently playing with the Melbourne Victory in the Australian A-league. Teams in this league can have no more than 4 forign players. But i was just wondering if there where the same limitations for the youth players??

I guess what i mean is if seeing that i already have 4 forgin players, can i still sign another forign player, but under a youth contract??

I've not played the Australian league so can't say for sure what the rules actually are but most other leagues it means you can't have more then 4 in your registered playing squad and/or you can't have 4 in your matchday squad.

It usually doesn't mean that you can't buy more then 4 but it's pretty pointless buying more then that as they'd lose there work permit status after 12 months of not playing first team football.

Your best bet if you can is sign youngsters & then loan them out to avoid this, but obviously you won't know until you try so if I was you I'd try to sign more then 4 & see what the game says, that way you know for sure.

Thats what i was thinking of doing. But at the moment my club only has one local team that it loans to and for some strage reason it wont take any of my players.

Will it still be ok to sign more than 4 forign players and loan him to a small local club that is not in the A-League?? Or does it have to be a half decent team in a half decent league??
