First of all let me reassure you that I love the game. Me and my friends couldn't be more hyper at the final days before the release and run to the stores to get it that glorious morning. I was introduced to it last year, became instantly a manic player and been playing a lot ever since. After many many games I concluded to a way of playing, the red mice way, which I would like to share
1) I don't download super tactics. You don't have to use the great tactics developed by gurus. I never use them or try to develop such a tactic. Many people, every year, try to find gaps in the game's logic, details that the developers missed, flaws etc. by moving the sliders up and down, changing the players positions in the pitch, the arrows etc. It doesn't have to do with football, it's just a gimmick. Fair play to the ones who enjoy it, though.
2) I can't play english leagues because of the known problem of overrated players. Sorry, but when dirk kyut, who wouldn't get a job in an amateur swedish club, has such attributes, I just don't bother. I use some teams from england though to finance my team as most of them are rich.
3) I get rid of players that I don't need by forced transfers, meaning I enter a new player who buys them. It is impossible to sell them normaly no matter how hard you try. They can stay transfer listed for ever, whereas real managers can get rid of someone if they want to. Very easily. So, I just do it myself.
4) If the club makes a loss month after month, finance it with a little help from a new player. How else can this problem be fixed? By looking at how much bonuses some players get per appearance or some other minute detail like that? Absolutely boring.
5) I win a few games at the beginning. At the start of all seasons, AI will try to break you by not leting you win. Don't give in. Cheat & win for a couple of games and then it surrenders.
6) I win the cup. The cup is very easy to win, a few miniscule teams at the beginning, some more challenging later. You get a trophy without trying to hard, the people love you etc. If you are a good team you can also win a European trophy. Again, a few matches only, and you got yourself some silverware.
7) Occasionaly I win the league. You don't really have to win it a lot. A few times are enough, to keep the game interesting. The league is usually a pain in the neck to win, you have to stay concentrated for many games, so do it every 2 or 3 years and you're grant.
8) I get my hands on talented youngsters. If your team has not many hot prospects go get some from others. The usual problem is that they won't come or their managers won't let them. Just assume the team and release the hot prospect you want for your team. Then go and sign him. It is not even cheating. In real life, it is called the underworld of agents, business and the right connections.
That's all for the beginning, I'll think of more during the next days. The logic though is, to add realism to the game by helping your team by any means you can, just like real managers.
No seriously, no supertactics but hey, let's add managers here and there and buy our players for huge sums? And then saying it ADDS to the realism of the game? Despite the absence of safety winks I think this just has to be a joke?

It's not a joke at all. But look, I don't get rich by getting rid of players. I usually sell them for zero, just don't want them in the team. As for the financing, usually is a monthly instalment which matches my montlhy loss and make me a small profit. Let's say that the president does a bit of laundry through the team.
