Meanwhile, throughout the year he was losing money and he could do absolutely nothing about it. As a matter of fact, he had one of the lowest attendances despite leading the league. At the end of the season the team got promoted as I said. A few important contracts were expiring. The players were happy to stay with the team but the board wouldn't give them the money they were asking for, because of the bad economic situation. He refused to follow my advice and finance the team. The players left and the new season started. Naturaly, the team was strugling and at the same time losing more money (although many players left and the team was promoted, which should mean more income). At the end it was bankcrupcy and relegation. And I ask: why should he play an obviously flawed scenario without cheating?
I mean, the game has problems. Why not overcome them?
Winning promotion from a French lower league doesnt mean automatic fame and fortune for the club. It's part of the struggle for every small club to manage the leap to a higher league, both on and off the pitch.

And just because he's managing the team well on the pitch doesn't mean he's doing the same off the pitch. For all we know, he could be paying players far too much money which is causing the problem.
First of all, let me apologise to the people who like to play the game exactly as the manufacturer has dictated. My intention was not to offend you. I am also a customer and I buy the game every year, just like you. Let me say again that I love the game and I think the developers are doing a great job. That said, I don't defend it like something holly and sacred, and when I see something that I consider it to be unreal I rectify it. Some people, like my purist friend, just consider everything they see in the game the equivalent of real life football management. They say "well, something like that has actually happened in 1973 in the Kazakhstani second league". Fair play to them.
My intention, as I said, is to add realism to the game. I have, for example, found some things to be pre-determined. Try replaying a draw for a cup and you will always get the same opponent (at least in 07, haven't tried it in 08). Once (in 07 again) I left Chelsea with only "greyed out" players and Drogba. They won the league! And that's fair enough, I don't complaint or expect the game to be perfect. I just enjoy it.
I was quite intrigued when I read your first point about not downloading supertactics as one thing I never do is go into the tactics or good players forums. It is much more satisfying to play the game and create your own tactics and find your own wonderkids than to buy the players everybody else says are brilliant.
is his game and he could play as he wants. If he feels that is the realist way, he just can make it. I never create another player to help me (buying players, releasing them or giving money), I don't cheat in matches and did any of this things, but it is because I don't like it. It's a game and everybody plays as himself wants.
