I managed to get lucky enough last night and download it, but, obviously this morning it has gone, and will be re-realeased at some point today. I can only assume why it was retracted, but would apreciate it if you told us why!


I have a feeling its due to the build number, because it was different to the PC build number, and this will hinder people playing cross platform online games, (by cross platform, i mean PC to Mac).

Will i need to download the 're-released' Mac boxed patch, or is the one i downloaded this morning sufficient?

I downloaded the Torrent, the build I have is:

8.0.1 f 114359

Where does the f come from?

Mine only says 8.0.1 114359

Just downloaded the new linked version and the build is the same as the torrent that I had before.

The 'f' is in the Get info panel, f 114359. Don't think it's important. Where are you getting your build number from?

I still want to know why the patch link was removed.!

Strangely, my modified date is still showing up as October. Hmm. Maybe Leopard is having issues showing modifications in the finder.
