I know there are a few posts about this but I find that they arent helping me - I am 3 seasons in with MK Dons and I have have built a good team. Then one day the game just crashes and gives me the excuse of something to do with crash dumps?!?!

I cant get past that point of the game no matter how many times I reload it. I have a powerful computer more than capable of handling the game. But even if i go on holiday to get past this date it crashes anyway!

I have heard about patches from people but I really dont know which patch I should be downloading - in truth I dont know much about computers and if someone would just point me in the direction of the right patch I will be forever in their debt!

I have the boxed retail version of the game and I am working from windows vista.

PLEASE PLEASE help me!

judt download the 8.01 patch top of the forum page ok

Go in the official 8.0.1 patch topic,choose a link and download the patch.It should be an .exe file.Just run it and click update and it will do it automatically.Anyway i am not sure that the patch can help u with ur problem because i never had it.

OK - once I have downloaded the patch do i just drop it into the FM2008 program file then?

No you extract the patch to wherever (I use my desktop) and then double click on it and click update

No no! just double click on the file of the patch and then click update(after the extraction is complete)and it will do it automatically.

All patches installations work this way,u dont have to put the patch file in the game's folder.
