Bullshit !

I play online with my cousin. He has been the FM master since I play with him. Winning everything there is from cm 03/04 up to Fm 2007. Now every game he starts he has this "superkeeper" thing.

I never had it in single player, I join his game online and get the same problems straight away.

So whats the difference between my tactic online and my tactic offline? Nothing. Why does it work offline and not online, while playing with the same team? I don't know.

I do know that we were both trailing the leaders because we both hit a run of 8 "superkeeper point losses" in a row.

Must be because we both suck at tactics right?

And don't start the, here are the moaners again because I just want to play the game and beat it fair and square. Me and my cousin are both beaten by the keepers, thats not realistic. </BLOCKQUOTE>

It's only a game, no need to get so stressed about it! You'll give yourself a heart attack!

Just because you cousin is the "FM Master" doesn't mean he'll start winning the game straight away. I'm sure he has done superb on all the previous version of the game, due to playing them and learning what it takes to beat the AI plus buying all the super players. No doubt he'll do this again for FM08 and there will be no problems. But there wont be instand success!!

no such thing as an FM master. Its not a thesis that you are perfecting over time. New additions make the game more sensitive to responses - meaning you can't use the same logic from CM-Italia to FM07.

I play Arsenal - and I have super keepers rarely. And so does my cousin - does this mean we are using SUPER tactics? No we built it from scratch.

Can’t be worse then Championship Manager 2008 which is very basic but playable. But real footie fans know the score and it’s FM08. As long as they get the soul back into the game then I’m happy.

I agree that the shots to goals ratio needs sorting out (I'm still playing with beta patch) and hoped it would be sorted in the full patch. But just because your team has 22 shots on goal and the opposition has 2, doesn't mean you should, by default, win by a bigger margin and score freely!!

Your right, i should'nt expect just to win these game because i have completely dominated the game and had over 2 dozen shots, but the fact is that i NEVER EVER win a game that i have been outplayed in and am very lucky to ever nick a point in a closely contested game?.

This is why the game is such a chore, its just the same old thing over and over again!.

Do you lot ever stop complaining?

First the game wasn't good enough for you, (I didn't really find the bugs were too much of a problem to stop me playing), then the patch wasn't coming out quick enough for you, now the patch hasn't had the effect that you wanted.

Here's an idea for you, if you really don't like the game then why don't you spend all this new found free time developing your own football management game that you are happy with. Maybe attempting to program a game yourself would help you understand just how difficult it really is to make a perfect game.

*Incidentally, why do you have so much free time just giving up FM. How long does everyone spend on the game each week? Am I the only one who plays every now and then for an hour or two when there's nothing better to do? It's quite pathetic if there's nothing else in your lives.

I play it once or twice a week after school. It was a fun pastime to share with my cousin. Now he doesn't want to play anymore because of the problems I stated above.

Yeah I know I used the word superkeeper so noone wil read what I said.

I'm not talking about supertactics. I just wanted to point out that the tactics he makes are always spot on in every game and now all of a sudden the tactics will be the cause of both our problems? Don't think so mate. We are playing this game together for years now and never have I encounterd something like this, it's ludicrous. There is something very wrong in this game and I regret it.

Hell my tactic was working very well. Became champion, won the cup. I pick the same team online, play the same tactic and I got the same problems as he has. Played 0-0 6x in a row with the keeper being man of the match.
