That is a bit tricky to understand at first. I think what it's trying to say is that you've only commented on Andy Reid with the intention of putting him in the media spotlight so that he plays badly in the upcoming game rather than being genuinely worried about the threat he poses, i.e. you've got the sportsmanship of your namesake.

But that's not really what it says is it? The construction of that paragraph is appalling!
