when i save onto my memory stick and then copy onto my other pc (at work) its not there when i load the game up.

but, when i go into my documents, sports interactive, football manager 2006, games - then all my saved games are listed.

so when i go into load game or load last game threse nothing there to load at all

can anyone please help me

Move the file from the Data stick to the games folder.

Or better yet, point the game to the data stick.

Right, firstly have you got both games patched up to the same level? You'll need to be running the same patch on both games to be able to play the save on both of them.

It's strange that the files are listed in the games folder but don't show up when you try and load a game, I can't really remember how it works on '06 but is there an option at the top of the screen when choosing a game to load to select which folder you load from?

I seem to remember having exactly the same problem back when I was playing 2006 at home and work.

Now I have drunk a lot of booze since then which will have rotted the brain cells dealing with this, but I seem to remember I had to have an identical path name on both computers, so if you log onto work as a different user name, the my documents has a different path. I had to have identical user names at home and work, which was OK for me as I am my own boss, but may cause problems if you work for someone else.

Every thing else I tried didn't work, sorry it is vague, but it has been 2 years since i had this problem.

both pcs are set up with the original game with no patches - so there the same.

when i open the folder theres is nothing in there for games(which i know is what i need) schedules, tactics etc...

god its frustrating, i`m gonna have to do some work instead !

Try putting the stick in and direct the game to the stick and see if you can find it there. Otherwise paste it somewhere that is easy to find and direct the game there.

thanks lads, i had changed the save game name so it wouldn`t reconnise it, once i changed it back it worked perfectly.
