Pfff, sorry. International football…
Maybe the ‘big’ countries have to accept that there are no small countries anymore.
They all have good training facilities and methodologies. They all can have expert managers.
Even the small countries have good players with expertises in big leagues.
The smaller countries, but in the near past big football countries, felt this as first.
You see it in every sport that’s being internationalized. In USA they thought that their dream basketball team never could be beaten by a European one…
And from time to time a big country like England will not reach the final stage of an European or World championship.
It will happen again. Next time, maybe France, Italy, Germany or Spain will not have a dinner.
Also…
I think the decision makers are killing the football. How many teams are still investing lots of money in their youth squad?
Not that many. Why should they? Why should you invest tons of money, in players, trainers, facilities etc. when your market is the world, where one can find rather easily the same talent for less money abroad?
How many real top strikers is England counting currently…
A solution would be, to force all clubs to invest in youth and limit the amount of foreigners.
But we are off thread. Can you please write down which is the weakest club in your countries leagues?
