Hi there Alpha. I did just what you said and have trimmed SO many players I have virtualy no youth team now lol, but they were all crap anyway. We shall have to see what happens on the 2nd of january when the transfers complte. I wills ee how much money I have then and update you!

Another suggestion, see if any of your players are willing to take a pay cut, you'd be surprised how many would just for an extra years guaranteed wages especially the older players, where time isn't on their side. Even if you can get half your squad on £100 less a week it all adds up. Same with your non playing staff.
Also regarding friendlys, set your reserves and youth teams up with loads of friendlys, they'll generally have gaps of 2 weeks between games so plenty of oportunities even if its against another teams reserve side, it'll bring in some money.
