Is this possible?

I want to know, I am formatting my drive and I want to know if I can still play my old save game (obviously if I back it up) with a new install of the game, or does the Database have to be the same or something?

This question is for FM 2007, thats 2007

I would guess that what you need to do is go into your SI folder which would be on your comp somewhere (mine is in my documents) where you have data folders such as games, filters, db, skins sounds, tactics etc

Go into "games", copy and paste the FM files onto your desktop or whatever.. re-install the game itself.. then drag the folders into the new "games" directory? That should work i'm 90% sure

If I recall correctly you should be able to play your 2007 saved game on any new FM2007 install.

Just put it in correct directory.

Anyone one way to find out is to try it and see, no harm in that.

yes, it will work fine.

will need to patch the game again if the save is from a patched version obviously.
