I've been thinking about this and I thought I would ask. Would an average player from, say The Championship improve much if a club like Chelsea bought him? Has anyone tried it out?

I bought Billy Sharp from Sheffield Utd to chelsea. The score increase slightly from better coaches etc, but he inevitably didn't get much game time and was sent out on loan. So they do get better, they are just not really worth it!

Well, if a crap player is playing along side a team of super stars then obviously its gonna make him look better than he really is.

if the average player had very good potential then yes he would improve by going to a better club.

if the average player had average potential or had already hit his potential then he wouldn't necessarily improve.
but he would do better considering his opportunities to get goals or whatever would be hightened since he's playing with better plaeyrs
