Wow, someone that has the same opinion of the game as I do! It's a very similar story with me.

WWFAN's FM07 tactical bible may be one of the very best reads I have ever seen about the game.

i really liked FM06 but i dont think 08 is the worst version it just has some issues that need to be adjusted and once that is done it will be a great game in my opinion. maybe i think it time to start watching games for the fuill 90 mins as sometimes you dont get enuff out of watchin extended or key highlights - this may be where some ppl start to get frustsrated as they limit themsleves to wat they see on pitch and think their tactics are flawed or the game is

Personally I thought FM06 was the worst version, and that was still enjoyable.

In FM08, you definetley don't need to be a tactical mastermind. It's a myth that you need to spend hours making tactics. It takes me about 10 minutes designing my tactics, taking into account what my players are good at and what they aren't. I've had a good level of success and rarely, if ever change, my tactics. There was some argument for this being the case in FM07, but not in FM08.

Ive been playing FM2008 since the game was released an CM before that, And my personal opinion is that it the worst version ever. It has been totaly over complicated from the earlier versions of FM and now you need to be tactical mastermind to get any degree of enjoyment from the game. Where have the good old days gone when you could get your favorite lower league club into the premier league and into Europe "without" having the tactical nous of Fergie or Jose. That was when the game was enoyable, Ok it wasnt realistic for Hartlepool United to be in the Premier League but you got hours of enjoyment bringing top stars to your home club instead of making dozens of tactical changes throught a game only to be beaten by an over complicated match engine. Not all of us want to spend hours making a tactic, we just want to play the game. We pay £25 for a computer game to relax and enjoy not get stressed and raise our blood pressure.
doea anybody else agree? please post here!
I love games which are so easy that the enjoyment lasts a couple of days. Not them games which challenge and whcih like life do not always let things go you own way, hate them games.

FM2008 is the bets, because it is the newest. If you think I'm going to play CM1, then you are having a giraffe.

Every year, we have the same question ! Not SI's fault you get poor results... In a few weeks/months time it will turn into the best FM version ever... There are some people who will never learn...
