Babylon 5 ftw.
Actually, interesting you should say that. I went to a convention last week, and former Roddenberry lackey Richard Arnold said that the film would contradict the novels. I know there has been at least one novel dealing with Kirk and Kobayashi Maru, so that is a possibility.
As for B5, I was too far into DS9 when I first saw it, so could never get into it. Crusade actually showed a bit of promise before it was axed. Considering how terrible the first season of TNG was, Crusade was unlucky.

Bit of a sci-fi nut and looking forward to this. I enjoyed Wing Commander ffs :o
The game or the movie? IMHO, they would have been better putting scenes from one of the games (maybe Prophecy) than the film they wound up with. Prophecy was better acted, written and produced. Saffron Burrows FFS!
I don't want to know the plot at all - I watched Enterprise and Nemesis without spoilers, and found it much more enjoyable.
However, I do know one element of the plot, and they have made a MAJOR mistake using part of a Harlan Ellison script. He kicked up a major fuss when one of the novels used elements of City on the Edge of Forever without permission, and he's going to make all sorts of noise about this film.

Donners, do yourself a favour and watch B5 (especially the first four seasons). IMHO, B5 >>>> Crusade.
I wonder if they will dye Winona Ryder's hair blonde, as per The Original Series.
