Dyer and Jenas at the time were first-teamers, so senior players. Those two suffered from big-time charlie syndrome, none more so than Dyer's refusal to play RW for SBR at Middlesbrough. He should never have been allowed to play for the club again.
Yeah - I will say that SBR has a legendary status - afterall he took us from mid-table to the CL inside a couple of seasons, and presided over some memorable victories during that time. Much of his good work was undone by Souness and also Freddy Shepherd.
