I've always been a Pro Evo player but hoped that FIFA 08 might come good this year and warrant a purchase (the last one I bought was RTWC 98 on ye olde PS2). Doesn't look too promising, though.

Pro Evo 6 on the PC, patched up is head and shoulders above everything else.

Hardly a compliment though Ryan, especially considering the opposition. Bit like saying FM is miles ahead of the competition. Doesn't mean the game doesn't have some God-awful flaws.

If they were to make PES multi-player only, it would actually be a huge step in the right direction. It's decent that way, most of it's faults lie in the horrific AI.

Am likely to rent games first at the moment. Fed up now of substandard games.

I don't mind it, Im not a fifa fanboy before you start, I've got both pro evo 6 and fifa 07, play each one for different things. I know the gameplay is pretty slow, but I think it's an improvement on the last fifa, and I'll buy it if only up until pro evo comes out.

The demo was utter tripe. The actual game will probably be a bit better, but still not very good.

I play both FIFA and PES.

Mainly because i find the career mode better on FIFA and PES better for playing with mates.
