| 300 = utter, utter garbage. The worst film I have ever seen. Tbh I didn't stay till the end.
2007 was a pretty poor year for movies imo.
I don't know if the following were from 07 but the best films I saw this year were:
Pan's Labyrinth
err...
Blood Diamond - was decent,
Last King of Scotland - was ok,
Flushed Away - I only half watched but it looked pretty good.

Was Babel 2007? If so, that.
If not, the only films I've seen in the cinema this year have been The Simpsons (average), Transformers (rubbish)... and Music and Lyrics if that was this year (was entertaining, hardly groundbreaking).
I've been seeing plays virtually every week, but no movies. I'm cultured, me.

American Gangster is brilliant, Transformers was entertaining and Knocked Up was actually pretty funny.
Bourne Ultimatum was a tad over rated if you ask me... (prepares to be lynched)
But my fav of 2007 was defo Sunshine, twas fb!

Worst film comfortably 28 Weeks Later if you were wondering btw.

28 Weeks Later had a blistering first ten minutes, shot with thrilling kineticism and confidence, centring on a crunching moral choice made within the beat of a heart. Never really felt both such a willingness for a character to escape tied with a total lack of respect for his actions. Its uncomfortably breathless.
The rest sadly was a morass of cheap satire, lazy plotting and shock-tactic bloodletting.
Pity. Think they were onto something with that start.

I've barerly seen anything this year (as i will outline in teh REAL FotY thread in January. ) but on the relatively mainstream side of things, what did you think of Control and Once, if you've seen either McD?
And there will be a Nahon award this year.
