wasnt that last year? (as in 2006) </BLOCKQUOTE>
Well, it premiered at Venice last year, may have had a release in the States near the tail-end of '06, but was certainly released in the UK in '07, so to me (and most here obv) an '07 film.
No definitives, but I mentioned some in the film thread - Climates, Night of the Sunflowers, IE, Away From Her - which would grace any year.
Few more in the running (note: most of these were from the first half of 07, when I still had some vague notion of a cinema-going life) - Longing, Old Joy, Science of Sleep, The Lives of Others, Mutual Appreciation, Private Fears in Public Places, Funny Ha Ha, Little Red Flowers, Conversations with Other Women, Iraq in Fragments, Black Book, Ghosts, Zodiac, Born and Bred, The Consequences of Love, Hallam Foe, A Prairie Home Companion, A Mighty Heart, This Is England.
Shitload more to catch.
For '08, looking forward to: Juno, No Country for Old Men, Paranoid Park, Son of Rambow, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days, Man From London, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Lust Caution, Be Kind Rewind, My Blueberry Nights.
