Bit of a heads up. There's a tribute programme on ITV1 tonight, after I'm a Celeb. It's gonna feature clips and interviews on the man who probably changed TV comedy forever.
Lads of and lasses of a certain age should remember him well for his shows, during the late 70's and 80's.
i dont really remember kenny everett, but the only character i remember him doing was a bloke with really long legs that he had crossed. unless im thinking of someone else.

He was very ahead of his time and often fell foul of the clean up TV campaigners (Mary Whitehouse, etc). It only served to make him more popular, especially amongst children.
