I agree. The rules are sh!t because if the ref gives a red or states he didn't see it then the FA is free to throw the book but if the ref hands out a yellow or states he though it was fine then the FA shouldn't be able to do anything. Not sure how they got around that for thatcher but he did deserve it.

Can they increase it on appeal? 6 matches for that is such a small ban for something potentially career (perhaps life-threatening, depending on how bad it could get).

I'd rub the bastard out for 6 months.
