you obviously disagree. please give your thoughts on jewell please.
| 1. he has no experience at this level, and I don't mean at international level, I mean with international standard players and the big step up involved in the type of manager required. He's a minnow who should stick to what he's done in the past, manage small clubs mediocrely.

because we're not good enough for good football and winning at the same time?
jewell imo is the only manager who linked with us, has a "chance" of getting us out of the next qualifying group. he'll get us to kick lumps out of the opposition which will fit in well with the type of players we have. mcshane and dunne ftw.

in an ideal world? we shouldnt, but ireland does not have the number of skilled players as the major european nations, sometimes it is necessary to play ugly football to get good results.
ofcourse, i would be brilliant to play well and get good results.

so that's you're only reason? haha. give me more, unless of course you're basically clueless about football? what i've said is perfectly true, shouldn't have pressed the post button so fast.
that reason anyways. it's not as if we're one of the bigger countries in europe is it? we could get some draws in away against the better 1 or 2 teams in our group, and scrape in some 1-0 victories against them too. much like the 2002 qualifiers.

| What's wrong with Troussier ffs? He's interested. Higher your standards man, I know you're from Beaumont or something but look up from the gutter.

Albeit relieved since last I heard Souness was favourite
| I highly doubt Souness would take the job or the FAI would appoint him tbh.

I've no idea what you're talking about. You want us to set off from the start with the mentality of bashing teams into losing to us. Give over kid, that's bollox.

The way I see it hes a better appointment then Staunton, and this time round we weren't promised a world class manager.

He declared a strong interest in the job during his punditry on RTE.
The FAI are not appointing the manager.
