Every week somebody comes up with the same rubbish. the youth system in this country needs a complete overhaul not some quick fix system but people have been saying that for years but its yet to happen. And as people have said the mentality when looking at potential youth players needs to change.

Walcott is in Arsenal's first team squad and plays regularly now. Sinclair is obviously not ready for Chelsea's first team yet so he's out on loan.

Not that i said we shouldn't help them. I'm sure the clubs are already doing that though and if the manager planned to use them in a game, they'd be in the squad for that game.

I too think we should have 7 subs like everyone else fwiw.

if clubs did have to have 3 under 21 english players in an 18man squad, wouldnt that stop some players going out on loan and result in them spending the season sat on the bench instead?

Solution is to relax the passport rules when it comes to young footballers. Criteria should be that if Wenger buys a youngster then they automatically get a British passport as part of the deal. Problem solved.

Slight digression: I think the EPL needs more foreign managers, not useless English ones that are top flight managers purely due to their playing careers. If anyone's going to perpetuate the problems within the English game then it's former players?
